Doesn't work well with mdawg's. Use something else. :)

Also agreed with making Reaf a 14 like said many times, it's damn hard.

Based on the team members, we found that ReaF is much easier to pass than Chromatic Blitz. Rating is determined by passing and not scoring, after all.

I thought ReaF was incredible difficult, then I tried it on a machine. My lifebar never went below the 3/4 mark. But I still can't keep up with Chromatic Blitz.

This happened with another developer, which is why the team agreed on the current ratings.

Interesting, since we got nowhere near passing ReaF. Maybe we just need to try harder? We'll see soon enough as we are about to get more time to play on our cab.

I finally got the pack and I'm loving the stepfiles so far.

Currently, I'm playing on 3.9 (and ignoring some rolls until I get a later build), and some errors I've received were that some videos don't loop when they're done; they just pause.

Also, Disconnected -Delight Mix- crashes when played.
The error log states this:
The actor file 'BGAnimations/yellow flash/BGAnimation.ini' layer Layer1 is missing File

In addition, it seems that if I play another stepfile not from ITG Rebirth, the background image fades away when I'm supposed to hit arrows.

Sorry for being clueless here, I'm just kind of wondering how to fix all of this.
Would it necessarily work better in Stepmania 3.95 CVS?

Sorry and thank you.

Most likely. I've played through most of the files from the download and they run fine.

My mdITGPC was getting the fucky errors other people were mentioning here and elsewhere, but I've run almost all the sims at this point on two different computers on the latest OpenITG, and I've had absolutely no problems. I'd recommend that to people who are still having problems.

OpenITG is amazing. I've had no problems at all with ANYTHING.

I can't wait to try this out! One thing though, I'm extracting it in WinRAR and it says Summer.ogg is corrupt. Does it mean anything? I'll try it and see if it still works.

EDIT: Okay, since I'm me, I went straight to the Expert Boss songs (Autoplay). For some rason, the color change effects weren't happening on Chromatic Blitz or Epileptic Crisis. Where the BG is supposed to change colors it just stays blank. Is it a problem on my end? I have StretchNormalBlue, StretchNormalRed, etc.

EDIT2: Ah, in Disconnected Delight, it says StretchNormalBlue, etc in the SM file. But for CB it says 1^0^0^1, etc. Could that be causing the lack of colors?

I play through SM4.0 with the mdITGPC theme and half of the songs are crashing. I'm going to figure out how to fix it, I know it's something from the BG vids. Why would I want to play with OpenITG or SM3.95 when ITGPC is superior for my purpose.

Can OpenITG or SM3.95 count calories? Play StepMania Online? Play the Tutorial simfile which is a huge hit at expo's? I'm creating a list of all the simfiles that cause a crash and I'll figure out what's happening and probably remove some of the BG transition or effects or whatever.

It's annoying since alot of the wording was that the theme for ITG Rebirth was supposed to have an ITGPC support, and that the BGAnimations came with mdITGPC, so I thought support for ITG PC was intended.

Dave, what the hell.

StretchNormalBlue/Green/Red usually only works in regular 3.95 or 3.9, but not in ITGPC or OpenITG (no idea on 4.0). Try replacing Delight's BGscript with this:

#BGCHANGES:0.000=Disconnected Delight Mix-bg.png=1.000=0=0=1=====,
16.000=-random-=1.000=0=0=1=====,
28.000=Disconnected Delight Mix-bg.png=1.000=0=0=1=0^1^0^1====,
29.000=Disconnected Delight Mix-bg.png=1.000=0=0=1=0^0^1^1====,
30.000=Disconnected Delight Mix-bg.png=1.000=0=0=1=====,
32.000=-random-=1.000=0=0=1=====,
48.000=-random-=1.000=0=0=1=====,
64.000=-random-=1.000=0=0=1=====,
80.000=-random-=1.000=0=0=1=====,

112.000=-random-=1.000=0=0=1=====,
128.000=-random-=1.000=0=0=1=SongBgWithMovieViz====,
144.000=-random-=1.000=0=0=1=====,
160.000=-random-=1.000=0=0=1=====,
176.000=-random-=1.000=0=0=1=====,
192.000=-random-=1.000=0=0=1=====,
208.000=-random-=1.000=0=0=1=====,
224.000=-random-=1.000=0=0=1=====,
240.000=-random-=1.000=0=0=1=====,
256.000=-random-=1.000=0=0=1=====,
272.000=Disconnected Delight Mix-bg.png=1.000=1=0=1===CrossFade==,
99999=-nosongbg-=1.000=0=0=0 // don't automatically add -songbackground-
;

And tell me if it's still causing problems.

No wait, you misunderstood me. Okay, I'm using OpenITG alpha7. For me, StretchNormalBlue, etc WORKS, such as in Delight. But 1^0^0^1, etc, such as in Chromatic, does not work. Judging by what you're saying I have the opposite problem, therefore something's really wrong on my end...

It appears that the Flash BGAnimations are crashing SM4.0. If you open each .sm file of the songs listed below and comment out // the BGCHANGES2 then the files will play. If you don't understand, just change the BGCHANGES2: to //BGCHANGES2: and StepMania will ignore it.

Here is a complete list of songs that cause ITGPC to crash (I didn't try Epilleptic Crisis but I bet that one will crash as well):

Beautiful Morning
Calendar Girl
Charly
Cloud Nine and a Half
Come With Me
Dead Souls
Disconnected Sanxion 7 Remix
Dr. Doolittle
Duality
Gargoyle
Get Down
Ice Cold
Indulgence
Journey
Last Man Standing
Little Red Riding Hood
Night Time Story
Nights In Heaven Days In Hell
Ode to Dragon
Over The Rave
Palindrome
Popcorn
ReaF
Remember December
Safety Net
Sail Away
Save The Last Dance For Me
Sonic Vision
Space War III
Sugar Sweet
Summer
Tears In May
This Must Be A Dream
Unspeakable
DotA
We Met Dat Night
Wish
Wish Remix
You Are My Dream
You Wanna Me

Sounds like it's got a few problems...I'll dl the pack once it's free of crashes, since I'm gonna play this on ITG PC as well.

That's the thing; it's working perfectly fine on 95% of people's stepmanias. We have no idea why this is happening, because it works fine for the vast majority of the developers.

If you're experiencing issues with these files crashing stepmania, I'd suggest going into each individual SM file and deleting or commenting out the #BGCHANGES2 lines.

People crashing with mdawg's ITGPC
You need to remove Rebirth's flash, white flash, and yellow flash folders inside BGAnimations. I use ITGPC with the ITG2 patch.
